Qoob, an italian tv channel connected to mtv, proclaimed, in association with Volkswagen, a video contest about the new Volkswagen Scirocco, the latest car builded by the german firm.
The commissionig’s theme was the slogan “Be Good”, a statement used by VW itself to advertise the car. So the aim of the video should have been to express this idea and combine it with the concept of the sportive and flexible car. There was no restriction about tecquinques, only it was not possible to use copyrighted images or music.
Me and my friend Elisabetta Spissu, who too studies in Alghero, just dash toword it and start working. the idea that convinced us the most was that of picturing, through animation, the bad actions of an “evil” car and then have the new Scirocco show itself just at the end and stand out as better.
We concentreded also on the graphic image we liked best and decided for a semi-surrealistic city, made of coloured lines and deformed skyscrapers.
Finally we used a compleatly original music made by friends for leasure.
